The aim of the course is to provide students with the writing skills necessary for their professional lives, as well as to enable them to explore their own personalities, skills, interests and future expectations through professional topics. Throughout the course, students work on writing resumes, cover letters, letters of intent and self-reflective paragraphs, as well as preparing emails asking for information on a topic to be used in their future work life and applications. Students also learn business-oriented vocabulary and formal language patterns, as well as concepts of the business environment. The four language skills are studied, but the main focus is on writing skills in business life.

While the main focus is on communication skills in business life, the study of the four skills in language continues throughout the course, while ethical and cultural issues are explored.
