Internship Process: In Turkiye

1.Determining Internship Dates:

  • The internship must be completed during the summer months of the third year.
  • The internship duration must be at least 20 working days. Students wishing to do a longer internship should contact for further information.
  • When setting internship dates, weekends and holidays should be considered. The internship must be at least 20 working days.
  • Students wishing to do an internship during the between semester must send an email with their reason to vermez@altinbas.edu.tr for approval.
  • The Compulsory Internship Directive must be reviewed carefully.

2.Finding an Internship Company:

  • Finding the internship company is the student's responsibility.
  • If a company cannot be found, assistance can be obtained from the COOP Center (staj@altinbas.edu.tr, coop@altinbas.edu.tr).

3.Preparing Internship Application Documents:

  • To begin the internship process, the following documents must be prepared in triplicate:
    • 3 copies of the Internship Application Form (signed by the student, the company, and the internship coordinator, Dr. Nevzat Barış Vardar)
    • 3 copies of the Declaration of Health Coverage
    • 3 copies of the Internship Consent Petition Template
    • 3 copies of ID Card Photocopy

4.Document Submission:

  • The documents should be submitted to Research Assistant Emrullah Vermez (Gayrettepe Campus, 6th Floor, F606b, emrullah.vermez@altinbas.edu.tr).
  • The documents must be submitted at least 15 days before the start of the internship.
  • STUDENTS WHO DO NOT SUBMIT THEIR DOCUMENTS ON TIME WILL NOT HAVE THEIR INSURANCE PROCESSED, AND THEIR INTERNSHIP WILL BE CONSIDERED INVALID. THIS RESPONSIBILITY IS SOLELY THE STUDENT'S.

5.Insurance and Approval Process:

  • After the documents are submitted, they will be approved by Dr. Nevzat Barış Vardar, and the insurance procedures will be sent to the Human Resources Department.
  • Students whose insurance registration is completed will be sent the insurance entry form via email.

6.Documents to be Prepared During the Internship:

  • After the internship is completed, the following documents must be submitted:
  • Internship Evaluation Form (to be prepared by the company)
  • Internship Report (to be prepared by the student during the process. The company must sign and stamp it thoroughly and accurately).

7.Email Communication:

  • All communication related to the internship process must be carried out through the Altınbaş University student email address.

Internship Process - Abroad:

1.Internship:

  • Students wishing to do an internship abroad must follow the same process as the domestic internship, but there are differences in document
  • The internship must be completed during the summer months of the third year.
  • The internship duration must be at least 20 working days. Students wishing to do a longer internship should contact for further information.
  • When setting internship dates, weekends and holidays should be considered. The internship must be at least 20 working days.
  • Students wishing to do an internship during the semester must send an email with their reason to vermez@altinbas.edu.tr for approval.
  • The Compulsory Internship Directive must be reviewed carefully.

2.Finding an Internship Company:

  • Finding the internship company is the student's responsibility.

  • The required documents for students doing internships abroad are as follows:
    • Acceptance Letter
    • 3 copies of the Internship Application Form (signed by the student, the company, and the internship coordinator, Dr. Nevzat Barış Vardar)
    • 3 copies of the Declaration of Health Coverage
    • 3 copies of the Internship Consent Petition Template
    • 3 copies of ID Card Photocopy

4.Preparing the Acceptance Letter:

  • An original, signed, and stamped acceptance letter must be obtained from the foreign company/institution on official letterhead.
  • Official letterhead is a special type of paper used in formal correspondence, typically featuring the company’s logo, name, address, and contact information.
  • The acceptance letter should be sent via email to vermez@altinbas.edu.tr before the internship begins and must be submitted along with the other documents after returning to Turkey.

5.Document Submission:

  • The initial documents must be prepared, scanned, and sent in PDF format at least 15 days before the internship begins.
  • The documents should be sent via email to Emrullah Vermez (emrullah.vermez@altinbas.edu.tr).
  • The original documents should be submitted to Research Assistant Emrullah Vermez (Gayrettepe Campus, 6th Floor, F606b, emrullah.vermez@altinbas.edu.tr) after returning to Turkey.
  • Internships will not be accepted if the original documents are not submitted at the end of the process. The responsibility lies entirely with the student.

6.Insurance and Approval Process:
