Mehmet Altınbaş Education and Culture Foundation
Mehmet Altınbaş Education & Culture Foundation was established in 2005 with the purpose of maintaining the legacy of the late Mehmet Altınbaş, the founder of Altınbaş Group, and focusing the group's energy into social responsibility projects. In accordance with the laws of Turkish Republic as well as the principle of equality and non-discrimination, the Foundation has been undertaking the following educational and cultural activities: train culturally and intellectually enlightened individuals as workforce for the education industry of Türkiye; follow a value-added modeling in education of society; produce graduates with strong cultural and scientific knowledge, high entrepreneurial spirit, capable of accessing the information they need using the best and the fastest scientific methods available, equipped with solid skills needed to shape the future of society and the business world; enhance and protect Turkish cultural heritage and assets; promote Türkiye and Turkish culture.
With the strong intention to carry out our late father's legacy of selfless investment in education and contribute to the accomplishment of the Foundation's objectives; Istanbul Kemerburgaz University (IKBU) was launched in 2008, which would adopt its new name “Altınbaş University" in 2017.
Having admitted its first students in Academic Year 2011-2012, Altınbaş University, the masterpiece of Mehmet Altınbaş Education and Culture Foundation, continues its educational journey with 10 undergraduate schools, 1 institute of postgraduate education and 2 graduate schools.
Altınbaş University, which provides education in 3 separate campuses located according to their fields of specialization, provides discounts and scholarships in various amounts to 95 percent of its students.
