Mission and Vision

Mission

Students enrolled in the Double Degree Turkish-German Law Undergraduate Program are expected to have an advanced level of German language to follow their law courses at the University of Cologne. In this context, the main mission of the German Preparatory Program is to provide students who do not have a sufficient level of German with i​​ntensive language training for one year, which will enable them to be successful in one of the exams accepted by the University of Cologne. Another aim of the language education given within the framework of the program is to ensure that students have an advanced level of German, in which they can use all four language skills competently and effectively in their personal lives, in their social and cultural interactions in the following two academic years in Germany, Cologne.

Vision

The German Preparatory Program, which has aimed to be as successful as the School of Foreign Languages -Basic English and Turkish Preparatory Programs, has adopted the vision of holding a strong stand in teaching German language, surpassing many similar organizations in this field with its success in teaching German to young adults in their first year at Altınbaş University.

The program aims to equip its students with intensive German preparatory education, to reach the maximum language criteria determined for the Double Degree Turkish-German Undergraduate Law Program, and at the same time to equip them with student achievements that will make them familiar with the contexts in the ever-changing socio-cultural structure of the target society.

Aiming to reach the ultimate quality, the academic program is meticulously revised every year based on the principle of continuous quality improvement. In line with this, the Program aims to make authentic and practical contributions to areas such as Assessment and Evaluation tools and Material Development, Training of the Trainer, and Educational Design in German language teaching.
