Dear Young People
Altınbaş University was founded in 2008 by Mehmet Altınbaş Education and Culture Foundation and started to admit its first students in the 2011-12 academic year. We have made significant strides in a short period of time for a university.
Today, we continue our educational activities with a total of 26 undergraduate, 11 associate degree, 24 master's and 8 doctorate programs within 9 Faculties, 1 Graduate Education Institute, 1 Vocational School and 1 College.
In the process of transition from industrial society to the information society, our important priorities are to educate students at universal standards, to ensure that our students adapt to the developing world and contribute to change. Altınbaş University is a dynamic university that attaches importance to quality in education and reflects its innovative approach to its vision by adhering to its basic principles. Our aim is to ensure that our students and staff work in a peaceful environment and to produce graduates who are competent enough to practice their profession anywhere in the world. In today's conditions, although academic formation is a necessary condition for competition, it has ceased to be a sufficient condition. In this respect, we attach great importance to our students gaining the necessary social skills.
We encourage our students to take an active role in their clubs and fulfill our duty to prepare an environment that will enable them to develop their social skills in social responsibility, culture, art and sports activities.
Rooting the culture of democracy is another issue we attach importance to. With the 'Student Forums' we organize at our university, our students share their thoughts about their universities with us, defend their opinions on relevant issues and, in accordance with the requirements of the participatory democracy they live in, they share their opinions about their universities.We involve our students in the creation of our university's strategic plan and in the decision-making processes that affect them.
We take advantage of the founding foundation of our university to work in an integrated manner with the business world and we care about our students gaining work experience while they are still studying. For this purpose, we have a unit that provides the necessary connections between our students and the private sector. We aim to increase the qualifications of our students through international agreements, exchange programs, and joint diploma programs with prestigious universities abroad.
With these goals and understanding, Altınbaş University will continue its efforts to raise competent, well-equipped, innovative, analytical thinking individuals who are loyal to their values in an environment where free and critical thinking prevails.
