Course Content and Learning Outcomes
A1 - BASIC
Students at this level can understand the main idea of simple topics and simple information in conversations. They can understand basic notifications, instructions, and information. They can fill in simple forms and write notes containing time, date and place.
Using Turkish, the students who completed this level are expected to be able to:
• Understand the main idea of simple topics and simple information in conversations
• Understand basic notifications, instructions and information
• Fill in simple forms and write notes containing time, date and place.
A2 - PRE-INTERMEDIATE
Students at this level can simply express their views and needs in a familiar context. They can understand clear expressions in a familiar subject, texts, simple books and signs on familiar topics. They can fill out forms and write short texts and emails containing personal information.
Using Turkish, the students who completed this level are expected to be able to:
• Simply express their views and needs in a familiar context
• Understand clear expressions, texts on familiar topics, simple books and signs in a familiar area
• Fill out forms and write short texts and electronic messages containing personal information.
B1 - INTERMEDIATE
Students at this level can express an opinion on abstract, cultural issues in a limited way, understand advice made in a familiar area, announcements and instructions. They can have a general understanding of common, day-to-day articles and new information on a familiar topic. They can write texts or take notes on familiar topics.
Using Turkish, the students who completed this level are expected to be able to:
• Express their opinions on abstract and cultural issues in a limited way.
• Have a general understanding of advice, announcements and instructions in a familiar area, articles on common, everyday events, and new information on a familiar topic
• Write texts or take notes on familiar topics.
B2 – UPPER-INTERMEDIATE
Students at this level can easily understand a familiar topic or give a speech and communicate on many different topics. They can quickly review written information and understand detailed information or recommendations. They can take notes or write texts in different formats while someone is speaking.
Using Turkish, the students who completed this level are expected to be able to:
• Easily understand a known subject or talk about a known subject and communicate on many different topics.
• Quickly review the information about the written text and understand detailed information or recommendations.
• Take notes or write texts in different formats while someone is speaking.
