Message from the Head of Department
Dear Students
In a globalizing world, the distances between societies, economies and businesses are shortening. Therefore, the conditions for their coexistence and development in harmony are being redefined. In this context, our department aims to produce graduates who can assume effective roles in international environments. Graduates of our department will be able to work in the private sector, public sector and non-governmental organizations. They will be able to work as specialists or managers in import, export, accounting, finance, production, personnel, marketing, sales, research, administrative affairs, human resources and other departments of international businesses, chambers of commerce and industry and various organizations that conduct research on economics. Moreover, our department allows students to specialize in different fields with double major and minor opportunities. In this way, all-round development of students is aimed. In addition to all these, if our economics graduates wish to pursue an academic career, they will have the necessary knowledge and skills to do so.
The competence of our academic staff, foreign language skills, access to and use of modern technology are the strengths of our department. Our department, which aims to produce graduates who will be able to assume effective roles in international environments, provides exchange opportunities to its students with many universities with which it cooperates. In addition, students have the opportunity to meet with academics and researchers from both abroad and at home through seminars, workshops and conferences organized by our department and faculty.
Our department accepts students both with the Undergraduate Placement Exam (LYS) and foreign students in line with our efforts to create an international environment. Students who prefer our program with LYS are placed in scholarship quotas at various rates. Our department aims to become one of the most popular schools for education and research in the field of economics.
