İstanbul Documentary in Collaboration with Altınbaş, Princeton and Harvard Universities

Altınbaş University Department of Radio, Television and Cinema faculty member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Avcı, together with Princeton University Department of Anthropology faculty member Dr. Onur Günay and Harvard University Center for Middle Eastern Studies Director and Department of History faculty member Prof. Dr. Cemal Kafadar, are working on a documentary on the myths of the founding of İstanbul.

The academics, who came together at a two-week summer seminar organized by the Center for Middle Eastern Studies at Harvard University in June, spent 8 days in the Marmara Region visiting and filming important settlements from the ancient, medieval and early modern periods.

The team continues filming in İstanbul.
