30 Universities Met at Career Days

Altınbaş University came together with prospective students at the 7th "University and Career Promotion Days" organized this year. At the event, expert guidance counselors and academicians answered students' questions about career planning.

Altınbaş University participated in the University and Career Introduction Days organized by the Kağıthane District National Education Directorate, hosted by the Presidential State Archives Directorate of Kağıthane Ottoman Archives.

Thirty State and Foundation Universities participated in the Career Days, which were visited by approximately 4500 12th-grade students from 22 high schools. During the event, which took place on February 27-28, experts from various fields shared their knowledge and experiences, providing information on the aspects students should consider when planning their careers.

Altınbaş University's booth attracted significant attention from prospective university students. The topic that intrigued students the most was the Inspire Future Scholarship provided by the university.

Dr. Duygu Kotan Türkden, the Student Dean of Altınbaş University, stated that the purpose of Career Days was to bring prospective students and universities together. She mentioned, "Students can experience many different professions simultaneously and decide which ones suit them best."

Dr. Kotan emphasized the importance of these days for Altınbaş University, as they also accept scholarship applications during this time. She said, "We provide scholarship opportunities to students who want to progress with us."

Explaining the Inspire Future Scholarship offered by Altınbaş University, Dr. Kotan highlighted its different aspects. She said, "At Altınbaş University, we tell prospective students, 'Not only your academic success matters, but also tell us about your talents. Let us provide you with a scholarship opportunity based on those talents.' We don't just talk about academic success when defining success."

Dr. Kotan also emphasized the importance of goals and perspectives on education. She stated, "Receiving a scholarship based on your dreams and future goals is an important opportunity. Our university does not necessarily seek professional talent, but we value efforts. If you have an effort, for example, if you are interested in music, come to us and tell us about your dreams and goals. We will provide you with a scholarship opportunity accordingly."
