Altınbaş University's Centennial Gift 100 Books series presents "Leziz Diyet Mutfağı" authored by Dietitian Seda Yağız. Seda Yağız highlighted that many individuals are currently struggling with obesity, noting a significant increase in the number of individuals wanting to lose weight.

Seda Yağız stated, "Weight is lost by changing dietary habits and increasing exercise for a while. However, maintaining the lost weight poses just as much difficulty. However, it is possible to maintain the lost weight."

Emphasizing the importance of not regaining weight from a health perspective, Yağız said, "If weight is constantly lost and regained, inflammation increases in the body. This weakens the immune system and increases the risk of various diseases. Individuals must learn how to maintain their weight. It is necessary to adopt sustainable dietary habits."

Discussing the various factors affecting weight, Yağız evaluated, "The city we were born in, the culture we live in, childhood habits, our family, friends in our environment, the environment we work in, our sleep pattern, our stress load, fluctuating emotions, deficiencies or excesses in our blood values, diseases in our genetics, and our daily activity level are important factors."

Yağız recommended determining the most suitable dietary form after undergoing examinations with a specialist and advised individuals to learn the most suitable nutrition for their bodies.

Noting that the perception of diet being dull and tasteless contributes to many people not being able to maintain their weight, Yağız emphasized that a delicious diet is possible with traditional Turkish cuisine. Yağız also shared key points for maintaining weight.

Accordingly, "One should consume enough water, get sufficient protein, avoid constant snacking, make exercise a habit, and seek support from a physiotherapist if there is an orthopedic condition. Like life, nutrition should also be in balance. It's important how much, when, and how often a food is eaten. Instead of self-denial, individuals should focus on portion control or preparing healthy and delicious recipes. They should learn to manage stress, work with dietitians to understand their own bodies, not engage in healthy eating for a while and then stop, but rather make healthy eating a habit."
