2023-2024 Summer Term Apprenticeship Applications

Dear students;

You can find the details, forms, and documents regarding the summer term apprenticeships of the 2023-2024 academic year below. The originals of the documents must be submitted to the faculty by hand or by cargo to dean's secretary Rumeysa Yavaş at least 10 days before the apprenticeship starting date. Documents to be sent by cargo must be shipped at least 15 days before the apprenticeship starting date. Applications made by e-mail will NOT be accepted.

  • Students can start their pharmacy apprenticeship on 10.06.2024 as the earliest date.
  • Students can start their hospital internship on 01.07.2024 at the earliest.
  • Students who will enroll in the summer school can start their apprenticeship as early as 09.09.2024.
  • All apprenticeship applications must be completed until 20.07.2024.
  • In order to be accepted for the internship exam, the form in the link must be filled out and PDF files of the documents submitted to the school must be uploaded to the relevant fields in the form.

Documents to be submitted to the faculty must be in a sealed envelope that says Rumeysa Yavaş’s attention on it.

Note: Students who have completed the normal education period of ten semesters and can graduate at the end of the 2024-2025 fall semester at the latest can apply for the 5th grade 2nd semester apprenticeship.

    Issues to be considered in determining the apprenticeship place for Community Pharmacy Practices:

  • All trainee students must comply with the provisions of the school's apprenticeship directive.
  • The pharmacist of the pharmacy where the apprenticeship will be held must have at least 5 years of community pharmacist experience.
  • The pharmacy where the apprenticeship will be held must be in agreement with the SGK.
  • The responsible pharmacist of the pharmacy where the apprenticeship will be held must not be relatives to the student.
  • Trainees whose pharmacies do not work on Saturdays should extend their apprenticeship period by these missing days while scheduling their apprenticeship. Likewise, the apprenticeship period should be extended for working days that coincide with official or religious holidays. The main thing is to complete 20 workdays.
  • It is mandatory to comply with attendance and institution working hours in all apprenticeship.

    Issues to be considered in determining the apprenticeship place for Hospital Pharmacy Practices:

  • All trainee students must adhere to the apprenticeship guidelines established by the school.
  • An updated document and notebook can be found on the school website.
  • The hospital where the apprenticeship will be held must be a medical facility with at least 100 inpatient beds and a pharmacy managed by at least one pharmacist.
  • Apprenticeship days do not include Saturdays or holidays. Apprenticeship should be extended by the number of days lost if they fall on a holiday.
  • Students must adhere to attendance and institution working hours.
  • If the hospital requests, the student have to take a committee report or a single physician report and submit to the hospital. Please contact your hospital before the starting
  • Before beginning your apprenticeship at the hospital, you must obtain the Basic Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) (İSG in Turkish) Training Certificate.

    Documents to be submitted for apprenticeship application;

  • Apprenticeship application forms signed and stamped by the trainee and the responsible pharmacist of the pharmacy accepting the trainee. (With a start and end date specified). (3 copies)
  • Copies of identity card. (1 copies) 
  • A signed petition stating that the trainee wants to do the apprenticeship voluntarily. (1 copies) 
  • Declaration of Healthcare Coverage form filled and signed by the trainee. (1 copies)
