Sailing at Altınbaş

Altınbaş University Sailing Team is having a successful period in the 2023-2024 academic year with 37 activities conducted. 17 of these activities were organized for the sailing team athletes and candidates, while 20 were open to all students and staff of our university. A total of 253 participations were recorded in the events, with 234 Turkish and 52 international students and staff participating.

Our team, returning successfully from the Presidential 4th International Yacht Races Republic 100th Year Cup, achieved 2nd place among the University Sailing Teams in the Cruiser Class. With its outstanding performance displayed during the exciting 3-day races, our team attracted attention. With this significant event, our team not only won the 2nd place cup but also gained a great source of motivation and pride. With the success shown in the tournament, Altınbaş University Sailing Team continues to make a name for itself with the 5th Cup it won in 2023.

As preparations continue for the upcoming races in the new period, we wish our sailing team success in their new competitions. The success of our team continues not only on the racecourses but also during training periods and times when there are no races. Our sailing team shares their experiences by organizing free sailing training sessions for enthusiasts, bringing the beauty of the sport to a wider audience.
