Certificates of appreciation were presented to faculty members whose projects were supported by TÜBİTAK.
Our faculty members who received project support from TÜBİTAK received certificates of appreciation from our Rector.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ebru Özdemir Nath, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Süleyman Baştürk, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doğu Çağdaş Atilla, received certificates of appreciation from our Rector Prof. Dr. Cemal İbiş and Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Argun Karacabey at a meeting coordinated by our Research Dean's Office.
Our Rector Prof. Dr. Cemal İbiş expressed his gratitude to our faculty members for their contributions to the scientific productivity of our university through their projects and stated that they were proud of the project successes that strengthened our university's research ecosystem.
Our Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Argun Karacabey stated that project-based scientific research is one of the fundamental elements supporting our university's research-oriented vision, thanked the researchers whose projects were supported, and wished them continued success.
Our Dean of Research, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hakan Kaygusuz, said, “We will continue to provide the necessary coordination with our team for interdisciplinary collaboration and the implementation of innovative projects.”
The meeting continued with our faculty members giving short presentations about their projects and sharing their experiences.
Speaking about her project titled “Elucidation of the Potential of In-vitro Bioactivity and Enzyme Inhibition Studies, Skin Barrier, Renewal, and Anti-aging Effects of Helichrysum stoechas subsp. barrelieri (Ten.) Nyman,” Elucidation of Its Potential Effects on Skin Barrier, Regeneration, and Anti-Aging."
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Süleyman Baştürk, who provided information about his project titled "Development of a Prototype of a Handheld Bioprinter Capable of Printing Live Cells for Wound Treatment (Bioflux Pen) for Wound Treatment," Assoc. Prof. Dr. Süleyman Baştürk emphasized that the project brought together researchers from different disciplines at our university and facilitated collaboration with other universities in the field of research through the names included in the large project team.
Supported by the TÜBİTAK 2553 program and conducted in collaboration with the Pakistan Science Foundation, the project titled "Political Pulse: An Explainable Artificial Intelligence-Based Deep Learning Platform for the Detection and Analysis of Multilingual Disinformation on Social Media," stated that the project aims to detect multilingual disinformation on social media using artificial intelligence.
