“Design” cooperation with G. Antep Metropolitan Municipality

Altınbaş University and GBB Kültür Tanıtım are collaborating for designs reflecting Gaziantep culture.

Altınbaş University Faculty of Applied Sciences, Department of Jewelry Design Deputy Head Dr. Lecturer. Prof. Dr. Arzu Altınçelik Teke, Lecturer. Assist. Nevin Cambaz, Lect. Assist. Yasemin Kantarçeken and Assist. Assist. Hakan Aktuğ, as well as the senior students involved in the project, were invited by GBB to develop original designs that will reflect the cultural values of Gaziantep. Altınbaş University delegation met with Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Fatma Şahin and shared the details of the project.

The field research to be conducted within the scope of the cooperation will provide students with the opportunity to discover the traditional and modern cultural elements of Gaziantep. At the end of the project, the designs developed by the students will take place in GBB Kültür Tanıtım Tasarım ve Fuarcılık A.Ş. stores and contribute to the unique jewelry and accessory collections unique to the city.

This project, which will blend Gaziantep's historical and cultural heritage with a modern design approach, is considered as a big step in promoting the culture of the region and supporting local production.
