Altınbaş University at TÜBİTAK 4007 Bağcılar Science Festival

More than 10 thousand young people attended the festival and the agenda was science and technology. Within the scope of the event, science communication, technology and workshops will be organized for young people of all ages in Bağcılar.

Organized with the support of Bağcılar Municipality, “TÜBİTAK 4007 Bağcılar Science Festival” was opened with the participation of many participants.

Speaking at the opening of the festival organized in partnership with Bağcılar Municipality, Bağcılar District Governorship, District Directorate of National Education, Altınbaş University and Istanbul Aydın University, Mayor of Bağcılar Municipality Abdullah Özdemir said, “Women and Family Culture and Arts Center and Fuat Sezgin Science Center will host the Science Festival for 4 days. Again, 35 different projects will be presented and 4 seminars will be organized. I believe that our festival, which will be attended by 107 schools including primary, secondary, high school, university and nearly 7800 neighbors of all ages and from all walks of life, will make a great contribution to the scientific studies of our district. I would like to thank everyone who contributed to our science festival once again.” 

The agenda of the festival, attended by Bağcılar District Governor Abdullah Uçgun and District Director of National Education Mehmet Sansar, is science and technology. Young people participating in the festival have the opportunity to showcase their talents by explaining the projects they have realized. Projects such as “Painter robot”, “Decaffeinated coffee production from peanuts”, “Environmentally friendly buildings” are among the projects that attract attention.

Altınbaş University Research Dean Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hakan Kaygusuz, AUTONOM Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Süleyman Baştürk, Faculty of Engineering and Architecture Academicians Dr. Onur Ağma and Research Assistant Merve Handere, EVA Team and Civil Engineering students answered the questions of young people during the festival.
