Altınbaş University EVA Team Once Again Made Us Proud At The International Efficiency Challenge Races
EVA TEAM, consisting of students from the faculty of engineering and architecture at Altınbaş University, added a new one to its achievements and came fourth in the International Efficiency Challenge Electric Vehicle Competition in TEKNOFEST.
Altınbaş University EVA Team put up a great fight on the track inside the TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center Campus, which has a very challenging structure and many teams could not complete the race. EVA TEAM, which has achieved third place three times in its six-year history, proved its stability and success once again with its performance this year and achieved the 4th place.
EVA TEAM displayed a high performance in the International Efficiency Challenge Races held at Gebze TÜBİTAK MAM Campus on August 12-17, 2024 and ranked fourth in the Electromobile category in the competition with 36 teams. More than 600 teams applied to the races in total and only 36 teams qualified to participate in the final races. This success of EVA TEAM proved once again the quality of Altınbaş University in engineering education.
EVA OTONOM Team, the Autonomous Vehicle Team within EVA TEAM, managed to be one of the 38 teams that qualified for the finals among 367 teams that applied for the Robotaksi Passenger Autonomous Vehicle Races held in Gebze Informatics Valley between August 20-23, 2024.
Developing a completely new autonomous vehicle this year, the team managed to develop a vehicle that can move completely autonomously in accordance with the traffic flow and rules on the challenging track.
The financial and moral support, research opportunities and working environment provided by the university play a major role behind the team's success. EVA TEM, which carries out many projects under the Main Sponsorship of Bağcılar Municipality, develops more and more every year with the great support of the university and its sponsors and continues its work without interruption to achieve greater success in the future.
