Terminal İstanbul Project

Atatürk Airport terminal buildings are transforming into one of the world's largest entrepreneurship centers with the Terminal İstanbul Project. Altınbaş University has also become one of the stakeholders of Terminal İstanbul.

The Terminal İstanbul Project, which will be implemented under the leadership of the Ministry of Industry and Technology, aims to transform the Atatürk Airport terminal buildings into one of the world's largest entrepreneurship centers.

Participating in the launch event as a stakeholder representative of the project, the Rector of Altınbaş University, Prof. Dr. Çağrı Erhan, commented, "As Altınbaş University, which is involved in all kinds of initiatives of the Ministry of Industry and Technology and TÜBİTAK, especially including Teknofest, we are very pleased to be one of the stakeholders of Terminal İstanbul, which will host very important achievements for our country and region. In line with the founding philosophy of Altınbaş University, we will continue to work diligently with our students and faculty members in scientific and technological advancements of Türkiye. Altınbaş University will continue to increase its support for scientific research that creates added value for Türkiye."

Upon the completion of the project, Türkiye's largest technopark will be established, serving 2,000 technology firms and entrepreneurs in an area of ​​138,600 square meters, capable of hosting dozens of events annually. The technopark will feature modern work offices, incubation centers, accelerator programs, shared workspaces, and R&D laboratories to accelerate the realization of innovative projects.

Terminal İstanbul will also serve as a new meeting point for global technology companies and investment funds. Efforts will be made within Terminal İstanbul to strengthen the connection of entrepreneurship not only with the business world but also with society.

Within Terminal İstanbul, there will be Deneyap Technology Workshops, Science Centers, Software Schools, and a Children's University, especially contributing to the development of young people. Terminal İstanbul, which will breathe new life into the economic, social, and cultural life of the city, will include Deneyap Technology Workshops covering an area of ​​2,700 square meters, where middle and high school students with special talents will be included in learning and teamwork-oriented training.

Türkiye's largest Science Center, covering an area of ​​31,000 square meters and hosting over one million visitors annually, will allow people of all ages to engage with science. Free next-generation software training will be provided to young people over the age of 18 in the 3,200 square meter Software Schools.

With the Children's University, a 2,700 square meter educational environment will be created where a thousand children aged 10-13 will have the opportunity to experience and learn theoretical knowledge in the field of science and technology.
