Graduation enthusiasm at Altınbaş

Altınbaş University graduates received their diplomas at a ceremony held at Küçükçekmece Yahya Kemal Beyatlı Show Center.

The ceremony was attended by the university administration, academic and administrative staff, students and their families. The program started with opening speeches, the ceremonial march, a moment of silence and the National Anthem. Then, Altınbaş University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Cemal İbiş addressed the students and their families in his protocol speech.

In his speech, Prof. Dr. İbiş drew attention to the international vision of Altınbaş University and said:

"We are proud to graduate 1300 more students here today. Thus, the number of our graduates exceeded 15 thousand. Sixteen percent of our graduates are international students from 93 different countries. Altınbaş University is among the top 5 foundation universities in Türkiye with the highest number of international students. Each of our graduates successfully represents our country and our university at national and international level." 

Chief Advisor to the President and Ambassador Prof. Dr. Çağrı Erhan also took part in the ceremony. Prof. Dr. Erhan said in his speech: "You have made us applaud the success of our students. I also invite you to applaud our esteemed education staff who contribute to the development of our students and Mehmet Altınbaş, the Education and Culture Foundation and our committee who have contributed to the establishment of this home of wisdom. I hope that they will continue to achieve success after this point, which has been reached with great efforts. Becoming an international university was one of the three points that our Foundation adopted as a goal from the first day. I am also very happy to see that this has been realized today."

Then Mr. İmam Altınbaş, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Altınbaş University, came to the stage and in his opening speech he said, "Graduation is not the end; it is actually the first page of a bigger story. May your path be clear, your luck be abundant and your conscience be your guide. Our country needs your energy, productivity, innovation and faith more than ever. We trust and believe that you will achieve great things on the road to a great Türkiye. Once again, on this happy day, I congratulate you all from the bottom of my heart and wish you a bright future. I present my respect and love to all of you." 

After the speeches, the graduation certificate and plaque were presented to the university valedictorian. The ceremony continued with the invitation of the faculties to the stage one by one. Students graduating from different faculties such as health, law, engineering, social sciences, fine arts, business administration, communication and dentistry took the stage one by one and received their diplomas.

At the end of the ceremony, students took the oath and experienced the joy of graduation. The ceremony ended with a flag handover ceremony and a collective cap throwing ceremony. Emotional moments were experienced in the event, which was realized with the intense interest of families and academicians.

Altınbaş University graduation ceremony was not only the closing of an academic semester; it also took its place in the memories as a meaningful day celebrating new beginnings.
