Message from the Head of Department
Psychology is a branch of science that carries out research and applications to solve the body-mind equation that constitutes human beings.
In our country, which has a young population, the need for psychology graduates is increasing day by day. As a young and dynamic department, Altınbaş University Psychology Department aims to provide its students with experience in both research and practice. Our aim is to support our students to become individuals who are researchers, inquirers and lifelong learners. Our curriculum, which is designed to serve this purpose, is organized in a flexible structure that will enable our students to be informed about different sub-fields of psychology and allow them to focus more on their interests. By introducing students to all subfields of psychology, we aim to equip them to make informed choices. With the personal professional guidance provided by our faculty members, each of our students will be directed to their areas of interest and personal competence, thus supporting them to become more successful individuals in professional life.
Our students will have the opportunity to learn by applying research projects by participating in research and social responsibility projects carried out by faculty members in our Psychology Application and Research Center. At the same time, they will take part as observers in psychological support practices for society and individuals within our Application and Research Center, and they will also have the opportunity to learn by living through internships in different sub-fields of psychology.
Our aim is to offer a modern and dynamic psychology education program at world standards.
