Effective Leadership Training

Altınbaş University academicians and managers improved their management and leadership skills by participating in the SLII Experience Training licensed by "Ken Blanchard", one of the world's most prestigious training platforms. In the training given by Prof. Dr. Buket Neşe Aksu, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy and Education Specialist, participants were told the codes of learning the new leadership language.

In the training where the definitions of the best leader and the worst leader were made, it was emphasized that the main goal is to ensure that others are self-sufficient. Prof. Dr. Neşe Buket Aksu stated that according to SLII training; the 3 basic skills that a leader should have are "Goal Setting, Diagnosis and Adaptation". 
Prof. Dr. Neşe Buket Aksu emphasized the importance of goal setting and suggested the 5-tier MAKET formula to managers. With this formula, which she explained as motivating, clear, relevant, accessible and trackable, she said that progress and results can be measured and tracked. 

In the diagnostic stage, he noted that an employee's competence and commitment must be correctly diagnosed. Accordingly, it is important that the employee has proven knowledge and skills specific to the target or task, as well as the ability to transfer them. Motivation and self-confidence are concepts that affect engagement. 
In the third skill, adaptability, it is recommended that the manager should be flexible in order to use different leadership styles easily. Prof. Dr. Aksu stated that flexible leaders should be directive and supportive.
